Note that I also can’t use Cap1 or Ally because they do not allow non-US citizens to open accounts. I wouldn’t be switching if I didn’t have to so there are no additional features that I need. I suppose I could keep my Chime account, deposit my whole check to Schwab, and manually transfer a portion from Schwab to Chime, but it’s inconvenient and slow.īasically, I’m looking for a product that looks and acts almost exactly like Chime (2 day early deposits, clean app, an instant transfer feature like Zelle or Pay Anyone), but isn’t Chime. Previously I split my paychecks so that a portion went to Chime for spending and the rest went to my Schwab and savings accounts. I have argued this with them for a week but they’re not budging, so it’s time to look at other options. I work for a small company that outsources payroll to a third party, and in February they are switching to a different HR/payroll supplier that does not allow direct deposits to a number of neobanks/online banks, including Chime (others are Discover Bank, Amex, Green Dot I think). I’ve been using Chime pretty happily since 2019 as my personal spending account (my main checking acct for bills and such is with Schwab).
